Coach: Czar Bloom (1st season).
Seniors:
Billy Haines (‘98 team captain, ‘96-’97 state medalist, ‘97
3rd team All-state), Bobby O’Neill,
Steve Germann, David Ober.
Juniors: Ben
Wynne, Brandon Sharpe, Kenneth Brown, Andy Kunkle,
Dan Wiegman, Geoff Frazier,
Mat Haines.
Sophomores: Lucas Clifton, John Kemp, David Button, Dan Ward.
Freshmen: Chris
Morton, Jacob Barr, Pablo White, Paul Rescigno,
Robbie Rescigno, Brandon Miller,
Craig Retzlaff.
Outlook: With a balance of veterans and newcomers, the Bucs should be solid and competitive. Haines seems focused early as he looks to finish his senior season well. His leadership - along with the other seniors- should lead the way for a number of up-and-coming underclassmen. The Bucs have enough athletes, and could vie for the conference crown if they reach their potential.
“We’ve got to be ready for Laurel
Sept. 11, but then our next dual meet isn’t until the end of the month.
That gives us plenty of time to be ready for a difficult stretch run in
October,” said Coach Bloom. “I’m excited about our potential and our chances.”
